A Being Mindset

Mantra: More being, less doing.

Explanation: Being is a state of existence.  It’s continuous and infinite.  Doing is any action taken within being.  It’s temporary and finite.  Without being, doing eventually becomes a mindless loop of actions taken by a robotic automaton, reducing our motivation.  That’s a problem because success requires a heck of a lot of “doing” over long periods of time.  Accomplishing a priority is who you are, not evidence that you’re a puppet tethered to a mindless to-do list.

Application: Apply the concept of being into your everyday life.  Instead of doing something from a “to-do” list, focus on fulfilling a priority as part of your natural state of being.

Example: Wake up and say, "I did it! I woke up!" Now that you're anchored to gratitude, anchor to the other four primary anchors: Integrity, Trust, Truth, and Impact. Those primary anchors are what defines you. Your to-do list is only your shadow following along for the ride.
